Former Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Kang Jung-ho, who left the ground for the last time in 2019, will challenge the big league again.

Kang Jung-ho, who runs a baseball academy in Los Angeles after retiring from active duty, recently said on his YouTube channel, "We will hold a fan vote on whether to participate in the Major League tryout or not and try again if more than 70% of the votes are in favor."
As a result of the vote, 92% approved and 8% disapproved, and Kang Jung-ho began to build his body again. On the 24th, he posted a video titled "Kang Jung-ho Last Dance [Challenge]ㅣMLB Tryout" on his YouTube channel.

Posting a video of him participating in his personal training, he said, "So many people voted and 92 percent of the vote was in favor. I have no choice but to try  스포츠토토 (the Major League again). I will show you how I progress despite my old age."

Kang also said, "I want to show that I am not late and do my best regardless of the result. It is not an easy challenge, but I would really appreciate it if you could cheer me on."

However, people are skeptical about Kang's re-challenge to the Major League. Although Kang was born with outstanding abilities, he is almost impossible to overcome his age and long absence. Some regard him as a means to increase the number of views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Kang graduated from Gwangju Jeil High School and was named eighth in the first round of the second round by the Hyundai Unicorns in the 2006 Rookie Draft. He played in 902 games with a batting average of 298 (9,16 hits in 3070 at-bats) and recorded 139 home runs, 545 RBIs, 470 runs and 51 steals. He joined the club with 20 home runs and 20 steals for the first time since his debut in 2012. He also won the Golden Glove in the shortstop categories in 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Kang Jung-ho wore a Pittsburgh uniform in the Major League thanks to his batting average of 356, 40 home runs, 117 RBIs and 103 runs in 117 games in 2014 when he was a Heroes player.

After hitting 15 homers in 2015, Kang hit 21 homers in 2016, making his leap to the center of the Pirates. After leaving the ground in 2019, Kang had a batting average of 254, 46 homers, 144 RBIs, 120 runs and an OPS of .796.

Apart from his outstanding performance, Kang is a felon who has been caught driving under the influence of alcohol three times. Following 2009 and 2011, he was sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of probation for causing a drunk hit-and-run accident in December 2016.

At that time, he was under the influence of alcohol and fled to the hotel to hide, and during the investigation, a passenger falsely stated that he was driving. It was a legally and ethically fatal incident. The return of the Kiwoom Heroes in 2022 was canceled due to KBO's disapproval.
